This is a demonstration deployment. This Privacy Policy is provided for testing and demonstration purposes only and is not legally binding.

This Privacy Policy explains how Oxign ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses, and protects information when you use the Oxign carbon-management platform and related services. By using Oxign, you agree to the practices described below.

01Introduction

Oxign helps small and medium-sized businesses calculate, verify, and publish their carbon footprint. To provide this service, we process a limited amount of information about you, your organisation, and the emissions data you enter. We aim to collect only what we need and to be transparent about how it is used.

02What we collect

We collect the following categories of information:

  • Account email — the email address you use to create and sign in to your account.
  • Company name — the name of the business or organisation associated with your account.
  • Emissions data entered — the activity data, figures, and details you submit to calculate your carbon footprint (for example energy use, fuel, travel, and procurement information).
  • Vendor and lead form submissions — information you provide through vendor enquiry or lead-capture forms, such as your name, contact details, and message.

03How we use it

We use the information we collect to:

  • Authenticate you and provide access to your account.
  • Calculate, display, and store your carbon footprint and related reports.
  • Generate verified records that you choose to publish.
  • Respond to vendor enquiries and follow up on leads you submit.
  • Operate, maintain, secure, and improve the Oxign platform.
  • Communicate with you about your account and important service updates.

04Third-party processors

We rely on a small number of trusted third-party service providers to operate Oxign. These processors handle data on our behalf, subject to their own terms and privacy practices:

Supabase
Authentication and database hosting — stores your account credentials and the data you enter.
Stripe
Payment processing — handles billing and subscription payments. Oxign does not store full card details.
Climatiq
Emission factors — provides the reference data used to convert activity data into emissions estimates.
Vercel
Hosting and serverless infrastructure — serves the Oxign application and processes requests.

05Cookies and local storage

Oxign uses cookies and browser local storage to keep you signed in and to remember your session and preferences. For example, your authentication session is stored locally in your browser so you do not have to sign in on every visit. We do not use third-party advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

06Data retention

We retain your account information and emissions data for as long as your account remains active or as needed to provide the service. Vendor and lead form submissions are retained for as long as necessary to respond to and manage your enquiry. You may request deletion of your data at any time (see "Your rights" below), after which we will remove it within a reasonable period, except where we are required to retain certain records.

07Your rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

  • Access the personal information we hold about you.
  • Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete information.
  • Request deletion of your personal information.
  • Object to or restrict certain processing of your information.
  • Request a copy of your data in a portable format.

To exercise any of these rights, please contact us using the details below.
